UBS analyst: Next year's iphone 6 supply or tightening
According to Steven Milunovich, an analyst at UBS, Steve Milunovichi will likely get nervous about next year's iphone 6 in the market, as Apple is tilting its production ratio towards the iphone 6 Plus.
"Given the downward trend in the fourth quarter of this year, we expect output to fall by about 40% per cent in the first quarter of next year, most of which are small iphone 6," Milunovichi said. We think consumers are more interested in the iphone 6 Plus than Apple expects, so it is necessary to make appropriate adjustments. ”
Asia, especially the Chinese market, has pushed up the demand for iphone 6 Plus.
Barclays recently predicted that consumer demand for the iphone 6 Plus will grow strongly this spring, coinciding with the Chinese New Year, which the Chinese tend to give gifts to.
Apple initially underestimated consumer demand for the iphone 6 Plus, resulting in a shortage of supplies.
UBS points out that not only is there demand for iphone 6 Plus in the Chinese market, but sales are also good in the U.S. states.
"In the US, the iphone 6 and the iphone 6 Plus are 3:1, but it could be due to tight supplies, thus underestimating the real demand for iphone 6 Plus," Milunovichi said. ”
Whether Apple can increase the iphone's 6 Plus output without sacrificing iphone 6 sales, we'll have to wait until next year to know the results.
