China News agency Beijing May 6 The latest survey showed that Chinese consumer confidence continued to rise, consumer confidence index was 108, up 4% from the previous quarter, to the highest level since 2007. At the same time, consumers are increasingly optimistic about future economic conditions, but their willingness to spend is slightly lower. 43% of Chinese consumers think it is a good opportunity to spend, down 3%. At the China Consumer Growth Forum held here on 6th, the National Bureau of Statistics, China's Economic Prosperity Monitoring Center, and Nielsen Inc. jointly released the 2010 first quarter Chinese consumer confidence survey. The report said Chinese consumer confidence in the first quarter showed a growing trend and has rebounded to the pre-crisis level. Pan Jiancheng, China's economic boom Monitoring Center at the National Bureau of Statistics, said the sharp rise in the current quarter was mainly due to a sharp increase in consumer expectations for jobs and personal income, especially in central and rural areas. He pointed out that this with the economic recovery of the inevitable link, but also with the government in response to the financial crisis, while increasing the construction of the people's livelihood related. A major part of the fall in consumer sentiment in the first quarter was among high-income families. Experts say this may have something to do with the rapid rise in house prices this quarter. Min, Secretary general of China Development Research Foundation, believes that in order to prevent a real estate bubble, the recent period of time, especially after "51" the city a series of policies, in the short term will curb part of the consumption, but this is a necessary price, do not worry too much. Nielsen Mitch Barns, president of the Nielsen Company's Greater China region, said the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and the Guangzhou Asian Games will bring China back on the world stage, and Chinese consumers will no doubt raise the confidence, employment boom and personal economic conditions that continue to benefit from such global activities. But he cautioned that attention should be paid to prices and asset prices, such as rising housing prices.
