According to foreign media reports, cloud hosting service provider Elastichosts recently published a survey of corporate CIO, revealed the end user group of "false" cloud service dissatisfaction. The survey found that while some of the infrastructure was used to provide a service for businesses to pay, many companies were still paying for the server capacity they did not use.

Surveys show that about 83% of companies are frustrated by the need to cut marketing hype to identify which solutions are real cloud products and which are just traditional hosting services dubbed "Cloud" titles. This view is more than Two-thirds (67%), supported by companies that have accepted a fixed-term "cloud" service, 40% of the services obtained are not resilient or scalable, while 32% per cent found that, in many cases, the services accepted were not even self-service.

The survey also highlights that many companies surveyed can benefit greatly from "real" cloud services. The results show that, on average, the internal server capacity used by the enterprise has been less than half of the total capacity (49%). These figures suggest that underutilized server capacity is still a problem that most businesses in the industry are trying to solve.

However, research has shown that many cloud service providers offer traditional IT services dubbed "Cloud", so their services do not meet the standards of cloud definition. Businesses need to take advantage of the real benefits of cloud services to make their organizations more flexible, resilient and cost-effective. But in many cases, what they get is not real cloud service, but is caught in the truth is very shocking contract. When you see the capacity that an enterprise spends to buy but abandons, it becomes clear how much revenue the company can derive from its use of IT services based on instant payment. It is disappointing to see suppliers become a factor in the development of the market-annoying end users and failing to meet the expectations of the solution. ”

The report found that about 71% of the companies used a hybrid procurement model: through the channels or parts of the direct purchase of some infrastructure products through suppliers or cloud services providers. However, 38% of companies plan to reduce spending on IT infrastructure channels, hoping to take advantage of more direct services. This trend is particularly acute in the retail, distribution and transport sectors, with more than half (52% per cent) of respondents saying they intend to reduce their spending on channels and to use more directly supplied products from suppliers. 9% per cent of the respondents said they had reduced the number of channels to sign up directly with cloud computing services providers.

On the other hand, most companies (86%) plan to buy some cloud services through channels, provided they can provide the services they need. According to statistics, about 31% of companies said they were frustrated that their distributors were not currently in a cloud service for them. This is particularly evident in the manufacturing sector, where 42% per cent of respondents were frustrated by the inability of service channels to provide the required cloud services.

"It is clear that there is a growing demand for cloud services in various sectors, which is a good opportunity to make money in the service channels," Davis said. According to statistics, about 86% of companies will buy some type of cloud service through channels-if the service they deliver is significant, the reality is that channel operators have missed the opportunity and are going further and farther. ”
