According to foreign media reports, Apple Friday launched specifically for developers to cover Swift programming language content of the new blog Swift Blog, Swift programming language by Apple at this year's WWDC conference release.

In a brief introduction to text, Apple said the blog will allow developers to observe the inside story of development engineers designing the Swift language, as well as up-to-the-minute news and tips to make developers into creative Swift programmers. As content is constantly updated, Apple provides RSS feeds to developers and other interested parties. The company provides Swift compatibility updates on the new platform. The Swift application will be compatible with the company's current operating system, OS X Mavericks and iOS7, and will also be compatible with future operating system releases. However, there are currently no plans to make Swift compatible with earlier operating system versions.

Apple released Swift at the Apple Developers Conference last month, a language that will replace Objective C in the long run. Swift was developed by a small team within Apple for three years, led by LLVM investor Chris Lattner. So far, whether Apple plans to follow the path of LLVM and turn Swift into open source is unclear. (Tianmenshan)
