T and Nortel announced the joint completion of the LTE mobility test

T, a mobile vehicle connectivity test conducted in Bonn, Germany, allows high-speed vehicles to be transmitted via LTE in a 4-kilometer test track between Deutsche Telekom headquarters on the left bank of the Rhine and T headquarters on the right bank. In this test process, in addition to no network interruption or poor quality of the situation, even at different base stations can be smooth transmission. This means that T already has the necessary conditions to reach future mobile communications.

This successful live test is a great step forward for T to realize NGMN's vision. The network of the test is composed of a multi base station End-to-end solution for Nortel deployments, while the terminal equipment in the mobile vehicle is provided by LG Electronics.

T, who held this year's CeBIT, demonstrated its innovative leadership in NGMN. Attendees can experience the high quality (HD) audio and video of the data on the T's live display, up to 50mbit/s and 170mbit/s, respectively. T the next goal is to conduct a network application test with high bandwidth and low network latency requirements to enable mobile transmission of HDTV, HD AV or online games in real-world environments.

On the completion of this test, Nortel and LG Electronics recently jointly announced the completion of the world's first LTE mobile delivery technology on-site display. Nortel via the advance LTE mobile device provided by LG Electronics, in an environment that travels up to 100 km/h and continues to move across the Web sites, the use of the LTE network to deliver high quality (HD) video streaming has laid a sounder foundation for the LTE commercialization process expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
