After the official debut of this year's I/O conference, Google also officially launched the next generation of Android L Developer Preview version for developers to test. But it is worth mentioning that the current Android L also only supports Nexus 5 and 2013 Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7. Because it's just a developer preview, there may be a wide range of issues, suggesting that users who are eager for a taste of it should first back up important data before installing it. Although the Android L system itself is stable, many third-party applications are currently unable to operate on Android L. In other words, Nexus 5 or Nexus 7, which has the developer preview version of Android L, is not a major model for everyday life. Download and install first of all, users need from Google's Android official website download the system image files for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 respectively. This installation guide uses the version of Nexus 7, code-named Razor, size 422MB. Then, if the user is in the Windows environment, the first need to download Google USB drive to achieve more advanced features, and not just between the Android device and computer transfer files. Finally, users will also need to download and install the Android SDK Software Development Kit. Find the option on the phone/tablet in the Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 settings menu, and then click the version number seven times to enter the developer mode. Then open the developer option in the Settings menu again and turn on the USB debugging feature. Connect Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 to your computer, select the PTP connection mode (which you can choose by notification in the notification bar) and choose consent when you eject the Allow USB Debug dialog box. Next, the user needs to use the Google USB drive previously downloaded to upgrade the drivers associated with the Windows system. The easiest way to do this is to open Device Manager in the Windows Control Panel, then right-click on the connected Android device and choose to upgrade the driver software, then use the driver software on your computer and choose a Google USB-driven storage location. Install Android L Although the Android SDK Software Development Kit is very complex, installing Android L does not require cumbersome operations. First select the top toolbar and click the Install button, and then you need to do some simple processing of the downloaded image file. The downloaded mirrored tgz compressed file contains a second compressed file in tar format that contains a mirror of the system and a program to install the required series of files, and then extract the compressed file into the Android The Platform-tools folder in the SDK Suite folder. While holding down the SHIFT key in the Platform-tools folderRight-click, select Open Command Window here, and then enter the directive ADB adevices and click Enter to see if the Android device is available. If the Checkmark devices list is blank, the Android device being connected to your computer is not available, and the user needs to check the previous steps to verify that the driver, USB debug options, and USB connection are correct. And if the Android device appears in the list, turn off the device and press the power button and the volume down key to enter bootloader mode (the ADB reboot bootloader in the command window also works the same). Although the user has acquired access to the system software in bootloader mode, it is still necessary to enter instructions fastboot OEM unlock to unlock the device. When you are done, you will start installing Android L after you enter Flash-all.bat in the command window, and the entire installation will continue for a while and the code will appear on the screen and restart multiple times. Problem resolution above is the Android L all installation steps, tested Nexus 7 of the Android L in 45 minutes can be completed. Of course, the installation time will be slightly different because of the situation that the user personally encounters. If there is a problem during the installation process, it is generally possible to restart the computer and the Android device and then re-enter the Flash-all.bat command to repeat the installation process to resolve the problem. In addition, users can find more solutions through forums and networks. If you are not satisfied with Android L, you can also download the native system image provided by Google and install it.
