Telecom LTE equipment bidding end FDD accounted for 70%

According to people familiar with the matter, China Telecom LTE network main equipment bidding ended recently. The bid has a total of 10 equipment vendors shortlisted, of which 8 eventually gain share. According to rumors, ZTE, Huawei, Shanghai Bell, new Mail pass, Datang Mobile ranked top five, Ericsson, NSN (formerly Nokia Siemens) and the Beacon received a lower share. Another rumor from the Communications forum revealed that the shares of the bids were: ZTE (32%), Huawei (28.9%), Shanghai Bell (16.6%), new Mail (6.4%, all FDD), Datang Mobile (5.7%, all TDD), and Ericsson, The share of NSN and beacons may be less than 5%. If the rumor is true, it indicates that ZTE and Huawei accounted for more than 60% of the bid, and the Shanghai Bell, three of the total of nearly 80%, as the biggest winner. There is also a message revealed that the Chinese telecom bidding adopted a FDD+TD hybrid network approach, of which the FDD share accounted for about 30% of the 70%,TD. There has been a lot of rumors flowing out of LTE's bidding for telecommunications. There is news that, in China Telecom initially reported to the Ministry of Construction Network scheme, LTE accounted for less than 10%, was rejected by the Ministry of Information, and then, China Telecom two escalation plan to enhance the proportion of LTE. From the current news and rumors, 30% of the LTE ratio shows that telecom still hopes to put more power into the FDD network construction. Wang, China Telecom's chairman, said in the first half that it would consider renting a LTE network to mobile applications to minimize telecommunications LTE networks.
