Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, announced today through a company blog that Tesla will open patents on electric cars to speed up the development of the electric car industry.

Yesterday, Tesla's patents were also contained in the headquarters of the Palo Alto, which is no longer present. Inspired by the open source movement, Tesla will tear down the wall and promote the development of electric vehicles.

Musk that Tesla's real rivals were not those not Tesla electric cars, but the daily production of petrol vehicles on the production lines.
