In today's information technology, cloud computing technology as an important technology to occupy the important position of information technology, cloud computing technology everywhere, people "cloud" also "cloud", a variety of service providers, hardware providers and software providers, all involved in cloud computing technology. With the development of cloud computing technology, to the research realization, to the real application, has gone through several years, along with the cloud computing technology, the university Informationization Technology also follows the cloud computing development Direction Standard, unceasingly develops. From the proposal of cloud computing, research to practical application, university informatization is more or less involved in it. Combined with the characteristics of the development of university informatization, cloud computing technology has its own development results in the University informatization.
The development of cloud computing
Cloud computing is both a business model and a technology model. From a business model, is the mode of service, that is, to change the traditional "buy" for "rent" business model, so that users can from the bottom of the management and input to liberate, the formation of a new pattern of division of labor, that is, managers (service providers) more professional, and users more convenient. From the technical model, is a pool of resources, through the Internet to provide users with on-demand computing services, and pooling the key technology is virtualization. Cloud computing consists mainly of IAAS (infrastructure as Service), PaaS (Platform as Service), SaaS (software as a service) three service modes.
Cloud computing was first created with the advent of business models, when cloud computing was introduced some time ago in 2008, the business model dominated, defining and propagating cloud computing from business concepts, that is, "cloud" is still on the unreachable sky. With the advent of Google app Engine, Google Apps and Amazon EC2, Amazone S3, and the support of various vendors for cloud computing technology, cloud computing is gradually evolving into a technology model, where the cloud begins to fall.
At present, cloud computing technology has tended to mature and has been applied on a large scale, which can be seen from the following three aspects:
1. Industry Analysis
The Gartner analysis shows that cloud computing technology has been in the TOP10 for 3 consecutive years and topped the list for two consecutive years.
2. Government support
At the national level, cloud computing has become a strategic technology. March 5, 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission submitted the report on the implementation of the national Economic and Social Development plan for 2010 and the draft plan for the 2011 National Economic and social development, giving information to the major application demonstration projects such as Huimin.
3. Maturity of technology
On the technical level, cloud computing technology has been gradually from the misty cloud to practical cloud technology development, from hardware to software, from the server, storage to network systems, from the basic platform to the application platform, there are major IT vendors strong technical support. It can be seen that cloud computing technology has entered the stage of rapid development and popularization, the cloud is not remote, with the help of the current mature cloud computing technology, users can easily deploy and run their own cloud computing system.
Implementation of infrastructure cloud
With the development of cloud computing technology, a variety of cloud computing support technology is also generated, from the hardware provider to the software provider, from the basic platform to the application platform, there are corresponding supporting technology. Among them, the infrastructure cloud development is the most rapid and mature.
Currently, the most basic and popular three infrastructure cloud management solutions for VMware Vcenter/esx,microsoft System Center/hyper-v,citrix Xenserver/xen. With the above solutions, users can easily deploy their own infrastructure cloud on most of the underlying hardware systems. Its architecture is shown in Figure 1.

Because this kind of infrastructure cloud adopts the solution that uses its own virtualization technology, there is certain limit, and lacks the function which the cloud management system needs, such as user management, authentication, billing, monitoring and statistics. With the advent of a more flexible third-party infrastructure cloud management system, the above problems are resolved. For example, HP Cloudsystem Matrix, Dell AIM, IBM System directorvmcontrol/cloud Starter kit, etc., such as the domestic wave of cloud OS and Dawn Cloudview, and free Open-source OpenStack and Eucalyptus Solutions. This type of system is built in a more flexible way, build infrastructure cloud management in an integrated way, support more hardware platforms, virtualization technologies, and more infrastructure cloud management capabilities, and provide friendly, standardized interfaces for other software systems to access infrastructure cloud resources through interfaces. Its architecture is shown in Figure 2.
