The difficulty of seeing a doctor is a worldwide problem, not only in China but also in the United States. The root of this is that doctors and nurses, especially those with high quality, are disproportionately proportional to the patient's size.

There are many ways to solve this problem. One is to increase health care resources, but it takes time and effort. The second is to reduce the patient. Chinese medicine has a saying that treatment is not sick, in the treatment of disease, under the treatment has been sick. Visible early intervention in health is the key. In order to intervene in advance, the main reason is to rely on people's initiative consciousness, develop healthy habits, and secondly, we need to put health care auxiliary resources in front. Around the latter, the current health care entrepreneurship are very hot, such as Clove Garden, Doctor Spring, and so on, these applications and services generally provide symptoms of self-examination, medication inquiries, doctor visits, medical appointments and other functions, to a certain extent, to eliminate the barriers of communication contact between doctors and patients.

But the sense.ly healthcare start-up in the United States may be able to provide references to domestic start-ups in terms of business models, user-friendliness, and accessibility.

Sense.ly is a start-up that provides health care services and was originally hatched by the French telecoms giant, Orange s.a.,2013, as an independent company. Like Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana, Sense.ly also provides a personal assistant to the user named Molly. This is a dedicated virtual private nurse who can act as a contact point between a medical service provider and a patient. The user can provide information to the medical service behind her and then get advice. Sense.ly has signed up with a number of hospitals to use its services, and CEO Adam Odessky says the number of large paying clients has reached 10.

Sense.ly's platform integrates medical sensing, telemedicine, speech recognition, augmented reality and other technologies. Patient users can communicate with Molly through a question-and-answer session on a PC, tablet or smartphone to get a service. The information provided by the user will be forwarded to IBM's Watson supercomputer by Molly. Watson can digest 200 million of pages of information within seconds, defeating the human champion in an intellectual contest. IBM is recently applying its capabilities to healthcare, and its consulting system (evidence-based system) can provide real-time advice based on the patient's history.

If Watson thinks the patient is not providing enough information to diagnose, sense.ly will arrange a remote video conference with the doctor for the patient. In addition, the platform can be connected to the extremities of the sensor, so that doctors understand the user's movement and other indicators.
It was reported that in a pilot program, the platform lowered the patient's call rate by 28%, while the doctor's productivity increased by 20%.

Recently sense.ly has just received $1.2 million in funding from Launchpad Digital Tiyatien, EastLink Capital Management and a number of angel investors. The proceeds of financing will be used in product development, team building and customer base expansion.
