The five functions of the next generation SOA

IBM hosted the Impact 2012 Beijing Summit Forum on July 12, and Mr. Xugang, general manager of the IBM Software group's Greater China region, briefed the audience on the six strategies for creating a smarter world for WebSphere.

Xugang that trends in mobile computing, cloud computing, big data and social commerce are changing all industries, and users are increasingly concerned about how to make it more responsive to the needs of the future growth of the enterprise. The cloud Platform is a service (PaaS) solution. The PAAs cloud based on WebSphere contains the following solutions and product technologies. Next-generation service-oriented architecture (SOA). Xugang says that the next generation of SOA based on WebSphere is not just SOA consolidation from within, IBM has extended it to mobile communications platforms, physical worlds, sensing future information with the Internet of things, and enabling enterprise users to integrate external systems and customer systems into the SOA platform. IBM believes that the next generation of SOA needs five things to do:
1. Connect your premise and cloud applications
2. Extending applications to mobile devices
3. Connect to the Internet of Things
4. Publish APIs and connect your business to a social (Social) technology environment
5. Provide the scale and quality of services that meet large data requirements

Business agility. "BPM is an important way to achieve business agility, and IBM has made significant changes in BPM platforms and product consolidation, including WebSphere Process Server (WPS), WebSphere Lombardi Edition (WLE)," Xugang said. Such process products are integrated into BPM platforms, allowing customers to easily implement application and business process changes on BPM platforms, and IBM has also released WODM (WebSphere operational Decision Management) new products, Ilog the previous rule engine, including event-handling servers, can be combined. In addition, whether the process can be more intelligent, according to a certain set of rules to determine where the next process should go. IBM can help users proactively seize events, and when this happens, it can drive the process and automate the process further. ”

Move the calculation. IBM integrates products such as worklight and Mobile Foundation, which support companies to integrate their applications from existing platforms onto mobile platforms. Worklight enables mobile applications to support different devices only once they are developed. "When IBM offers this product, it considers the needs of customers, the huge increase in the number of transactions, the variety of devices and terminals that explode, and they have to scale horizontally to meet the needs of the enterprise's mobile computing." Many customers choose to build scenarios based on our application servers to achieve the scalability, reliability, and performance requirements they require, and so on. In fact, Worklight is a complementary relationship with our rational and lifecycle-managed products, and for these application lifecycle-management products, the rational tool is in a way that can add value to the worklight. Internet of things. Object-oriented networking IBM offers solutions such as WebSphere DataPower, WebSphere MQ (MQ-TT). Soft and hard integrated optimization program. Xugang said that the "soft and hard integration of the optimization solution focused on security, efficiency and optimization process issues."
