The team, which studies memory-enhancing technology and equipment, has two teams, hoping to help people better remember by stimulating the special parts of the brain. They now have a 37.5 million dollar investment from DARPA (Defense Advanced Projects Agency).

The study's data were originally derived from epilepsy treatment. The researchers used device implants to locate the cause of the brain disease in epileptic patients. But now they have found that if they reorganize their data, they can also be used to monitor and track brain memory and search processes.

The team's first T team played some memory computer games with mildly forgetful epileptic patients, and then identified those who received the highest and lowest points, tracking their brain patterns separately. Once these patterns are accurately explored, they can help the team develop a brain-stimulating algorithm that stimulates those with the lowest points and keeps their memory activities in good shape.

Then another team would build a small device on the former and implant it into the human brain to record and analyze daily EEG activity while giving a certain amount of stimulation. In the olfactory cortex of the brain, there is a special area for providing information about the hippocampus, which is also a major irritant to the device.

While no side effects of the technology have been found, the team wants to temporarily reduce the stimulus to the least of the best and try not to interfere with other parts of the brain.

Once the technology matures, it will certainly bring the gospel to many people with memory impairment, especially Alzheimer's. The head of the first research team, Michael Kahana of the University of Pennsylvania, said we wanted to help old people who might forget their children's names. One thing to clarify, though, is that memory stimulation can only help people build and search for new memories, not what they have lost.
