"The Guardian" to unveil the U.S. "metadata" monitoring project

The Guardian of the United Kingdom, 27th again to shake the material, the U.S. National Security Agency has been operating a "metadata" project for years, collecting raw data on e-mails and internet "traffic" from U.S. citizens and residents in the United States, allowing the US government to expose another large-scale secret intelligence surveillance program in the communications field.

The Guardian website quotes a top secret report from the U.S. National Security Service Inspector 2009, which launched the "metadata" program shortly after the 2001 terrorist attack.

The project collects the Internet "traffic" raw data, known as "large chunks of internet metadata," containing the addresses of both senders of Internet information, including IP addresses that can display the exact location of the person sending or receiving the message.

At the beginning of the project, a party was confined to the communication between a person outside the United States or a foreigner, but expanded to American citizens and residents for 2007 years.

The exposure of the "metadata" project will embarrass the US government again, and Mr Obama has for some time been explaining the country and some of its allies about the US intelligence surveillance program.

The Guardian says the project was originally based on George W. Bush The Bush administration's controversial hacking program was launched on the basis of which the Court authorized the foreign intelligence investigation.

Several U.S. security and intelligence officials confirmed the existence of the "metadata" project, but claimed that the U.S. government had canceled the project in 2011, one reason being that its "counter-terrorism" effect was not good enough.

Only, according to the Guardian, a number of other NSA documents indicate that U.S. intelligence agencies have been collecting American Internet records for the duration of the day.
