Xinhua Beijing, April 29, the International Monetary Fund issued the Asia-Pacific Economic Outlook report. The report points out that Asia's first recovery in the global economy, a year after the severe recession, is expected to continue to drive global recovery in the near future, while the Chinese economy is expected to return to double-digit growth this year. The IMF pointed out that high unemployment and a slump in bank credit were hampering the pace of recovery in advanced economies and relied on macroeconomic policy support, while economic activity in many emerging and developing markets recovered rapidly last year and in the first quarter of this year, especially in Asian markets. However, economic recovery across Asia has been mixed, with China, India and Australia successfully emerging from the impact of the economic crisis, while export-led regional economies have a V-shaped cycle.
