According to foreign media reports, the latest figures released by comscore, a market research firm, show that Facebook's share of total advertising spending in the US has risen to 15% in the third quarter, surpassing Google and Yahoo, which share 10% per cent of the two companies. In addition, Facebook also accounts for a 28% share of the U.S. network showing advertisers browsing the volume market, over 23% over the same period last year.

But with data from U.S. independent visitors, Facebook is ranked fourth, so the results are still pretty impressive for Facebook. From the number of independent visitors to the United States, the top three in turn is Google, Yahoo and Microsoft, but users spend more time on Facebook than Google, but also more than Yahoo and Microsoft's total.

In the last quarter, the most advertised client on Facebook was the American Telegraph and Telephone Company (AT&T), which posted 10 billion ad exposures (ad impressions) on Facebook in the third quarter, accounting for at& T in the third quarter of the total number of advertising exposure 25%, followed by Experian Interactive, the company mainly marketing financial products, such as freecreditreport.com and Lowermybills.com, the third is the IAC company; followed by Disney, Google and so on.

A different aspect is that Facebook's advertisers are mostly small advertisers, with more than 61% of advertisers in the top 1000. By contrast, Microsoft's small advertisers are only 21%, and Yahoo is only 23%.

Also, in the third quarter of this year, about 55% of the 72 million U.S. mobile phone users were logged on to social networking sites every day, with a 60% increase in the number of users.
