Lixpen is about to launch the most delicate 3D print pen to date on the Kickstarter platform. Following last year's 3Doodler fundraising from the Kickstarter 2.3 million dollars, developed by the Lix in size more like a pen 3D print pen will be listed, the date is undecided.
Lix, a British start-up that was formally established this year, has three founders, Delphine Eloise Wood, anton Suvorov and Ismail Baran, from the arts and technology sectors.
Most users complain that the size of the 3Doodler is too clumsy, and lixpen has improved on this point, with a width of only half 3Doodler, only 12-14 millimeters. It looks more like a marker.
In the pen, the control Nozzle button setting is more in line with the ergonomic principle than the 3Doodler. The two buttons on the 3Dooler to control the extrusion speed of the plastic from the pen are too close to the bottom of the stylus, causing the operation to be laborious. The lixpen will be placed closer to the top of the pen body, easy to see, and easier to press. Fill the print material at the top of the pen body.
Lixpen's aluminum pen body makes it look like a delicate tool. Currently, Lixpen supports two of the most widely used printed plastics: ABS and PLA. Lix is likely to be bundled with plastic and 3D pens for printing.
When the plastic is sprayed, it will instantly solidify in the air, the pen will produce hot heat, the plastic can release gas when it melts, so the 3D print pen is still not a toy.
On the Kickstarter Lixpen is priced at $70 trillion, and the future market valuation is as high as 140 dollars.
Lix's slim appearance is really tempting, but it still remains to be seen whether it really brings a good 3D print pen experience.
