In the cloud computing environment, computing resources, network resources and storage resources can be distributed as business to users, thus making resource sharing more flexible and extensive, reducing user hardware acquisition, upgrade maintenance, and other cost end users can use all types of thin clients, access to all kinds of applications built on cloud computing anywhere. In theory, cloud users should have the same or even better user experience than the traditional approach of applying to user-local terminals. To achieve this effect, there are more new requirements for data centers that support cloud computing. This paper describes the new features of these data centers, and explores the core technologies and their evolving expectations to meet these new features. The data center described in this article refers to the data center of the fin-ternet data center, idc type of Internet datacenter.

In the cloud computing scenario, IDC's operators provide a variety of services, including cloud computing applications, networks, and storage services.

1.1 Server virtualization and free migration

In the traditional non-cloud scenario, the physical server is usually only used by a single tenant, so the utilization rate of a single server is lower. As the business expands, the number of servers needs to be constantly increased, making the data center scale larger.

In the cloud computing scenario, because IDC provides services to a large number rather than a single enterprise or user, the volume of business is extremely large. Constantly increasing the physical server is hard to accept for both cost and network size. Virtualization technology allows a physical server can be virtual into multiple servers to use, so that the use of unused resources, improve the utilization of the server, so using a relatively small number of physical servers to meet the needs of the IDC business. Typically for multi-core CPUs, virtual machines can be used as a virtual machine for each CPU. For some applications that consume less CPU resources, such as VDI (virtual desktops), even one CPU can be virtual into four or more virtual machines. Of course, virtualization also has to be limited by the number of I/O and memory per second of the hard disk.

In addition to increasing usage, virtualization makes it possible for server to migrate freely. In traditional data centers, the migration of servers is a vast project. Planning must be done in advance, a careful plan for cutting time, and a good backup. The server needs to disconnect power, move, power back on the line, usually business will be interrupted, so the relocation server is very rare. With virtualization technology, the migration of virtual machines no longer involves physical relocation. And can use a variety of technologies, such as progressive memory replication and other methods to make the migration smooth, to ensure that the user is not aware of the migration, the relevant business is not interrupted, unaffected. Free migration for Disaster recovery data Center backup, energy saving and environmental protection, network Regulation Network excellent provides irreplaceable convenience. The free migration of virtual machines satisfies the need of users to access data at anytime and anywhere in cloud computing environment.

1.2 Support for multiple tenants

In the era of non-cloud computing, it is common for tenants or businesses to have their own data centers or rented carriers ' hardware and infrastructure for their service computing and data storage. In this case, it can be understood that tenants have their own independent data centers, can carry out their own operation and maintenance can also be entrusted to operators. After using cloud computing, businesses or tenants can lease computing resources, network resources, and storage resources to operators that provide cloud computing, instead of renting hardware and infrastructure, simplifying or eliminating the need to build and transport their own data centers. In addition, cloud computing operators ' data centers will become more complex and larger. One of the challenges is to support multiple tenants.

Support for multiple tenants mainly reflected in:

(1) Rapid configuration and deployment for each tenant business. Each tenant in the cloud computing operators to purchase resources need to be able to quickly and automatically in the data center of the network to enable, but also include firewalls, IPS, LoadBalancer and other devices to configure the corresponding, Plug and play.

(2) Traffic segregation between tenants. In fact, because the tenant may share hardware equipment, bandwidth, storage and other resources, in order to ensure security, in the two-tier network-oriented data center, the traffic between tenants needs to be segregated, to prevent tenant A's traffic by Tenant B received. The traditional two-layer network based on VLAN (virtual LAN) for traffic isolation is limited by the number of VLAN in 4,096.

(3) network configuration and tenant application related to the configuration of decoupling.
