Next year, the New York Times will work with Byliner to publish 12 copies of the New York Times/byliner original, which includes articles on culture, sports, business, science and health. These e-books will be sold through Byliner, E-book retailers and nytstore.com, at $2.99 a copy.

The Timesfiles, launched in collaboration with Vook, is related to a specific topic or event selection. On December 17, the Kindle, Nook, IBookstore and nytstore.com have launched 25 such articles, including the rise of Apple, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the life and film of Hughes, starting at $1.99.
