The next generation of windows, code-named Threshold, will stay away from Xiandai

Microsoft is currently developing a new generation of Windows system updates, which is not about Windows Update 2, but about Windows updates code-named "Threshold."

At the moment, we are not sure if this version is the next generation of windows, but it will be different from all the windows of the past.

For example, on the interface, threshold will be further away from the Xiandai UI (formerly the Metro UI) used by Windows 8. In threshold, the Xiandai UI is disabled by default, but you can choose to manually open it. Interestingly, the Xiandai UI on a tablet computer is turned on by default, and the Xiandai UI is turned off by default on the desktop computer.

Threshold also brings a completely new design Start menu and allows the application to run on the desktop in windowed mode.

Xiandai UI, the choice that makes Microsoft a dilemma is rejected by itself. But it's interesting that when the user first sees threshold, it's not like Windows 8.1.
