BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) China's gross domestic product (GDP) has risen from 5% in 2005 to 9.5% in 2010, according to a series of "Eleven-Five" achievements in Economic and social development (Zhu Jianhong), published today by the National Bureau of Statistics. According to the report, the international ranking of China's gross domestic product in the "Eleven-Five" period was "triple-hop": From fifth in 2005 to fourth in 2006, third in 2007 and second in 2010. China's GDP, which is equivalent to US GDP, rose from 17.9% in 2005 to 40.2% in 2010. The report also notes that China's gross national income per capita (GNI) increased significantly during the "Eleven-Five" period. According to the World Bank, in 2009, China's GNI per capita reached 3650 U.S. dollars, ranking 125th in the world, 3 ahead of 2005. The proportion of GNI per capita to the world average was raised from 24.8% in 2005 to 41.8% in 2009.
