The demise of the smartphone giants does not seem to shock anyone, after all, that there will always be good phones in the market. In addition to the disappearing Nokia, Lenovo-acquired Motorola, the BlackBerry is still struggling in the marketplace, trying to regain attention by streamlining its product mix and highlighting new selling points. A good sign: The new BlackBerry, which highlights mobile security, makes the whole brand warmer, and it seems to be the last straw for the BlackBerry. But, sadly, security does not really save the BlackBerry, nor can it prevent a further decline in its corporate market share. The latest figures show that iOS accounts for 61% of corporate mobile devices in 2014, Android for 35%, and BlackBerry to 3.4%, while Microsoft's Windows Phone is only 0.6%. The BlackBerry portion shrank by 10.6% compared with 2012. While BlackBerry is promoting this year's high network attacks, cloud service vulnerabilities and other events, the problem is that these events do not really affect the choice of companies. Apple, on the other hand, is aggressively boosting the security of iOS devices by TouchID this biometric authentication method. At the same time, the entire iOS platform's support for touch IDs is becoming more and more friendly, with support from Third-party applications to mobile services, at least in terms of device security. The most important issue is the global market. In many countries and regions, BlackBerry has never been popular (such as the Chinese market), even if the enterprise users more security, but the impact of the platform is huge, related to the enterprise application development, experience and business communication and other details, BlackBerry Non-mainstream makes these enterprises difficult to choose it. For now, the only hope for the BlackBerry may be the BYOD (with its own office equipment) market. In the UK, the BlackBerry Joint Movirtu company has launched a service where corporate numbers and personal telephone numbers coexist, and businesses can simply write corporate numbers and personal numbers to the same SIM card and use them on a BlackBerry. For now, Apple and Google seem less interested in the field. But in essence, the service has little to do with the security selling points of BlackBerry devices. Obviously, people have become accustomed to the on-screen virtual keyboard input and enjoy the convenience of iOS and Android ecosystems. Even if Apple, Google's cloud services or data security are in danger, consumers can choose not to use, not share data, or use a BlackBerry that looks outdated. BlackBerry has missed the best time to develop smartphones, and in its heyday, the lack of transposition thinking and the idea of taking on new things has led to the current dilemma, even if it seems too late to take security into consideration.
