The Ubuntu 9.04 Official edition will be released in Thursday

Ubuntu will immediately give back all the changes to the software suite instead of announcing them when the new version is released, and in fact many Ubuntu developers are defenders of the main Debian software suite. But Debian and Ubuntu software packages are not necessarily compatible with each other. In other words, there may be compatibility issues with installing Debian packages on Ubuntu, and vice versa.

The Ubuntu team has listed its main features in a 9.04 announcement:

4, X.Org Server 1.6, Integrated 7.4 version Mesa 3D DRI;

5, wacom WordPad loophole repair;

6. New notification style and parameters;

7, more powerful start-up performance (speed 30%);

8, Linux 2.6.28 kernel;

9, Support EXT4 file system (EXT3 is still the default setting).

Ubuntu points out that in the newly released RC version, EXT4 support still has some problems, but the Ubuntu team will solve these problems before the final release.

The release of Ubuntu 9.04 is important for the canonical and Ubuntu teams, driven by the introduction of Windows 7, Snow Leopard, and Fedora 11, which enabled Ubuntu to attract more users, and the October release of Ubuntu 9.10 will also bring Ubuntu a second chance.
