Sina Science and technology news Beijing time of March 16, the founder of Innovation factory, Google China's former president Lee Kai-Fu Li received the US "Forbes" magazine writer Ribecca Fanning (Rebecca fannin) interview, and the Chinese new generation of entrepreneurs give three advice, including understanding trends, Focus and simplicity as well as peer with the partners.
The following is an interview summary:
Forbes: What advice do you have for future entrepreneurs in China?
Kai-fu Lee: My first piece of advice is: do not think that your ideas can change the world, but to understand the trend.
If you can grow in an explosive trend, you just have to work hard to get to the top. If you are in a steady trend, thinking about how to do something, eliminate all the competitors, you will wind up, the less. The trend is your friend.
The second suggestion is focus and simplicity.
Entrepreneurs are smart and want to do everything they can. Every day they will have new ideas, products, new features, new markets. The model of cultivating new companies, especially Internet companies, is to target a small group of users, develop concise products, and explore and expand on this basis. It's kind of like "Lean Startup".
The third piece of advice is: go with your partner.
There are many entrepreneurs in China who want to be big bosses and make everyone their subordinates. This kind of thinking is very "Chinese characteristic". However, the road to entrepreneurship is full of challenges and loneliness, and the losers are countless; you need a partner who can work with you, encourage and help each other and overcome all difficulties. You also need a person who is complementary to your skills and confident in your ability to achieve sublimation. However, almost all of our entrepreneurial programs are solo. I want to encourage two or even three people to start a business together. (Yan Fei)
