Tsinghua University to join EDX project will push online education platform

Tsinghua will be equipped with a high-level teaching team and edx docking, early online 4 courses, open to the world. The future of Tsinghua University will also build its own online education platform. Peking University also announced the addition of EdX. Multi-knowledge network learned that the first batch of Asian universities to join the EDX project, in addition to Tsinghua University, there are University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Kyoto University of Japan and Seoul University of Korea four universities. edx, a web-based online education program launched by MIT and Harvard last May, is designed to support school teaching, improve teaching quality and promote online education, with a total investment of USD 60 million and the first batch of trainees exceeding 370,000. All edx courses are free, offering lectures, problem sets, laboratory videos and teaching materials online. Online learners will be awarded a certificate to reach the passing standard, indicating that they have completed the edx course. Just last week, there were media reports that Stanford had stopped its internal system to support edx, and that the nation's elite had basically reached a consensus on online education; EdX will open up next month as "Android for Online education", and more colleges will gradually join in, and some universities in China will have big moves.
