"Twitter is interested in acquiring India's big data start-up company Frrole," TechCrunch, a US technology blogger, said in Monday, citing people familiar with the news, late December 2 in Beijing.
Frrole is headquartered in India's "It Capital" Bangalore (Bangalore), a monthly analysis of user behavior by processing about 500 million Twitter messages. Twitter has negotiated with Frrole and hopes it will eventually reach an agreement, the person said.
Meanwhile, the Business standard website said earlier in Monday that Facebook plans to buy little Eye Labs, a start-up company headquartered in Bangalore, India, which mainly provides testing services for application crash information.
The two messages suggest that some prominent internet companies are becoming more interested in Indian technology and entrepreneurship, according to industry insiders. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, said in an interview earlier this year that India had a huge market potential for Facebook.
