Twitter pushes localized advertising: acquisition of data analysis companies

Sina Science and technology news in Beijing July 4 morning, according to the U.S. Science and Technology blog TechCrunch reports, people familiar with the matter, said Twitter will acquire the new york-based geo-location data analysis company Sense NX, which will become the company's 6th acquisition this year. The terms of the deal are still under negotiation and are expected to be finalised this month, according to people familiar with the matter.  But Twitter declined to comment. Sense NX was founded in 2003 and launched in 2006 Macrosense, which claims to be able to "transform massive mobile geo-positioning data into available, predictable behavioral data".  This means that sense NX can not only collect data, but also analyze it to enhance the advertising effect. As a result, Twitter is expected to vigorously develop localized advertising. (PEI)
