Twitter terminates basic Auth authentication method support

OAuth has several advantages over basic auth: First, developers don't have to worry about leaking user information due to a bug.

Second, developers don't have to worry about users changing their passwords. Even if the user changes the password, the original program can still be used by the OAuth user.

Third, there is no need to worry about other programs pretending to be normal programs, because only developers can set the author's signature.

Four, using OAuth developers to use more Twitter APIs, because some APIs are only allowed OAuth programs to use. (slides)
