Twitter's path to E-commerce is becoming clearer. According to Re/code, Twitter's cooperation with the online payment company stripe will soon be settled. Soon, users can brush Twitter and buy something.
Later this year, Twitter will also formally launch a button similar to "Buy Now". Users can click to complete purchase payment and logistics distribution within Twitter APP. Online payment company Stripe's clients include shared driving service Lyft, E-commerce platform Shopify and grocery delivery service Instacart. For now, Stripe will be Twitter's only payment partner.
This January, Twitter is rumored to have negotiated acquisitions with stripe in order to allow Twitter to accept credit card payments directly. and Stripe's cooperation seems to go more broadly: this June, stripe and Alipay reached cross-border payments, allowing overseas users to make payments with Alipay to expand cross-border payment scenarios. Despite rumours that have been rife, two of companies have been cautious about cooperation. But the power of Twitter seems to be in the business.
