KeywordsNokia court patent ipcom
Beijing time January 20 Evening News, the British Court of Appeal in Thursday, the German company IPCom claimed that the two European-owned patents are invalid. Two years ago, IPCom sued Nokia and HTC for violating many of its mobile technology patents. Nokia said at the time that the patent mentioned in the indictment is invalid, so there is no infringement problem. The two patents claimed by IPCom are related to mobile network technology, and last January the High Court of London had ruled that Nokia had not violated IPCom's two patents, which were themselves ineffective. In Thursday, the British Court of Appeal dismissed IPCom's appeal and upheld the verdict. Last month, the German Federal patent court also overturned the 2/3 of IPCom's alleged patent infringement.
