"At present, there are 17 TD and FDD commercial dual-mode network, China Telecom and Chinese Unicom in 3G Network for FDD system, adopt LTE mixed networking mode, can effectively use its existing network resources, but also give full play to the use of TDD frequency resources."

Over the past year or so, telecoms and Unicom have been waiting for the licence. 14 months ago, the three major operators also obtained LTE-TD business license. Last June 30, Unicom and Telecom obtained the LTE-FDD Test licence and began to mix the network. Last August 28, two were allowed to expand the trial area to 40 cities. December 18, the pilot area was further expanded to 56 cities.

But this license does not mean that the telecommunications and unicom can get any respite, in the 3G era of the more stifling China Mobile in the 4G era of investment in the layout of a sharp lead, and in the country's policy on TD's explicit support, obtained a time window of 14 months. According to China Mobile's official operating figures, as of the end of January this year, the number of mobile 4G users has broken 100 million, Unicom and telecom 4G users are still millions of levels.
