The two companies have a total of more than 550 million users, with operations covering Europe, Asia and Latin America. Telefonica owns more than 8% per cent of China Unicom, while China Unicom holds 0.87% per cent of the former. Telefónica, the world's best multinational operator, accounts for more than 60% of the company's total revenues, and Telefónica operates in 19 countries and regions in Europe, Latin America and elsewhere, especially in Latin America, where it occupies an important and leading market position. In recent years, China Mobile's president, Mr Wang, has also spoken on several occasions to enter the Asian-African market, but there are no overseas investment cases other than Pakistan.
