U.S. credit card service comparison website Feefighters announced that the company has been bought by Groupon.
Feefighters is headquartered in Chicago, the United States, its main business is to help companies find the best credit card service providers, but also to provide them with samurai payment portal and other tools.
Feefighters said the acquisition would not have much impact on the company's product line, but most team members would be transferred to Groupon. "Our goal has always been to help small businesses improve their operational efficiencies, and we will be better able to implement this goal in conjunction with the localized E-commerce pioneer Groupon, compared to independent companies," said Sean Harper, the company's CEO, in his official blog Shawn Har. He noted that the Samurai portal as well as the feefighters and Samurai brands will continue to be used.
Groupon recently launched a number of acquisitions, including Kima Labs, Hyperpublic and adku. After the acquisition of Feefighters, Groupon will provide more technical assistance to business partners. The company has previously launched the Groupon Scheduler Reservation service, which was developed through a opencal acquisition.
Feefighters used Transfs's company name, a total of 1.6 million dollars in venture capital, including Excelerate Labs, Hyde Park Angels, Startups, Sandbox team, OCA Venture and Arizona Bay Marvell.
In a round of funding for January this year, Feefighters said it had saved 30 million of billions of dollars for users, who would normally be able to save 40% of their processing costs. The company also plans to expand financial operations for other businesses, including payroll and employee health insurance. (Ding Macro)
