US media: China is beating America to become king in mobile internet

China is rapidly becoming the "king" of Mobile Internet, the Forbes magazine website reported June 4. At the recent 11th session of the All Things Digital conference, Meeker (Mary Meeker) and Wuliang, the venture capitalist giant Kleiner, released 2013 internet trend reports. China has become the backbone of 2.4 billion of the world's Internet users, according to the report.

It is reported that Chinese netizens account for about 42% of the country's population and the US is 78%. Last year, China had 564 million Internet users, and the United States was 244 million. In this regard, the United States will never catch up with China. However, most of the major Internet companies are American names, such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Yahoo. However, China also relies on Baidu and Tencent to be among the forefront.

While American companies dominate, more than two-thirds of their traffic comes from outside the United States. Outside the US, China has the most Internet traffic.

China is also a bellwether in the smartphone world. Market research firm Informa predicts that by the end of the year, China's smartphone users will reach about 354 million people. By contrast, the United States will reach about 219 million people. But the Chinese market has more potential. In China, smartphones account for only 29% of the total use of mobile phones, compared with around 58% in the US.

China's mobile internet market grew at a rate of 84.2% between 2006 and 2012, Forbes said. Growth is likely to slow down in the future, but as the Chinese become richer, the technology spending of the Chinese people will become more and more.
