Tencent Science and technology news December 3, the United States "online shopping Monday" (the first Monday after the end of Thanksgiving), is in recent years with the growing popularity of online shopping, the gradual popularity of a noun, just as China's "double 11" the same. According to IBM's latest data, AOL's online sales rose 8.5% per cent year-on-year in Monday.

The IBM report showed that this year's mobile traffic accounted for 41.2% of overall online traffic, up from 30.1% a year earlier. In addition, users are not just using mobile devices to surf the Web: Mobile sales have accounted for 22% of the overall sales of "online shopping Monday", up 27.6% from a year earlier.

In mobile shopping, U.S. iOS users are always more forthright than Android users. IBM reports show that iOS users spend an average of $114.79 per order, up from $96.84 for Android users. The gap between the two sides is 18.5%. iOS device traffic accounts for 28.7% of the overall network traffic, more than a few times higher than Android devices. Android device traffic accounts for 12.2% of the overall network traffic. More importantly, iOS sales accounted for 17.4% of overall online sales, more than three times times higher than Android's 4.4%.

Many may argue that the big difference between Android and iOS is largely due to the fact that iOS has more market share in the U.S. mobile OS market, but it does not explain that iOS's online sales will go far beyond Android. It may be that the iphone is more popular than Android smartphones in the US, and that the ipad is more prevalent than Android Tablet PCs.

The IBM report shows that smartphones account for 28.5% of online traffic for the Monday, more than a 12.5% of tablets. But tablets account for 12.9% of the day's online sales, up from 9.1% of smartphones. In addition, the average cost per order for tablet users is $121.49 trillion, more than 99.61 dollars for smartphone users.

All the data indicate that the desktop is still far from extinct. IBM's data show that PCs account for 58.6% of total network traffic and 78% of network spending. Consumers still use PCs mainly for online shopping, with an average cost of $128.24 per order, up from $110.72 for mobile device users, and a difference of 15.8% between the two.

The IBM report also includes the following three interesting findings:

First: New York once again ranked first among the big cities in the "online shopping Monday", followed by Washington, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Second: emails automatically clicked by consumer behavior grew 48% year-on-year.

Third: The average price per order recommended by Pinterest is $97.78, which is 26.2% lower than Facebook's $123.44 trillion.

Wal-Mart also announced in Tuesday that this year's "net purchase Monday" has created a new company's daily network sales record. Wal-Mart also said that from Thanksgiving to "online shopping Monday", the flow from mobile devices accounted for the company's website total traffic 70%. (Mingxuan)
