[Reading] Everyone's heartbeat is unique, and this technology can be used for smartphones, tablets and automobiles. Using the heartbeat instead of the password unlock the phone, tablet and auto Tencent Science and Technology music September 5 compiled according to the British Telegraph website, a new device developed by Bionym, a Canadian company, enables us to unlock smartphones, tablets and cars with a heartbeat rather than a traditional password. Passwords are easily lost on notes and passwords made up of letters and numbers are easily forgotten. However, passwords are still the most common security method for people. Therefore, we will not be surprised that identity theft has now become a millions of dollar industry. But now, security experts have developed a way to secure authentication that cannot be lost, forgotten, or stolen: your heartbeat. Since usernames and passwords have become more and more unreliable, many companies are now using human features as an alternative authentication method. One of the new approaches is the Nymi wrist strap developed by Bionym, a Canadian company. The High-tech product monitors the wearer's unique heartbeat pattern and is used to unlock smartphones, tablets, consoles and automobiles. It can even be used to pay the bill when shopping, or to replace the credit card PIN. Feteni-Agrafiti, co-founder of the Bionym company, said Agrafioti "can identify people not only through heartbeats but also through the mode of heartbeat." For the past 50 years, cardiologists have been well aware that, like fingerprints, everyone's heartbeat is unique, affected by the shape, size, and position of the heart in the chest. However, unlike fingerprints, the heartbeat is almost impossible to replicate. The fingerprint can be reproduced by gel or from the surface of the finger contact, while the accuracy of the Nymi wrist band is as high as 99%. Karl Martin, Bionym's CEO, said that to get away from the Nymi, people would not only steal the device, but must also imitate the wearer's heartbeat. And the heartbeat is impossible to replicate with gel. Although exercise or drug use may affect the reading of wrist bands, Martin said, "The device allows a certain range of changes." Other alternative password identification methods do not have any innovation. For example, iris scanning technology can use infrared to identify each person's complex and unique iris structure, the technology has now been applied to the airport security procedures. Google has applied for a patent to unlock its Android phone with the user's facial expressions-from frowning to eyebrow-and to prevent face unlock from being photographed by photos. As an additional security measure, the "3D rangefinder" laser can be used to study facial contours. Proteus Digital Tiyatien has developed a digestible chip pill that uses stomach acid to provide energy and sends signals to the phone. Meanwhile, Motorola developed an electronic tattoo BIostamps, which contains a circuit diagram, can be pasted in the skin of a person, permanently replacing the password. Still, the bionym company's solution is most likely to replace unreliable passwords. The Nymi wrist band was scheduled to begin on September 4, with a price of $79 for the top 250,000 subscribers, and $99 for later subscribers. The equipment will be sold from the beginning of 2014. Developers hope the new technology will quickly replace passwords that people often forget.
