Viking is a GTK2 based GPS data editor and browser. It can download and display Openstreetmaps, TerraServer and other maps, import and draw trajectories and waypoint, add coordinate lines, hide different things, and so on. It uses layered hierarchical systems to manage the layer types of GPS data, maps, and other spatial data (such as coordinate systems).
Viking 1.3 This version brings a number of changes. The Mapquest service is the new default map that increases the OSM transport. The support for geo-labelling has improved. JOSM integration (the output layer details, or open at the current location). GPSBabel has better consolidation to provide all supported devices and import any file types. GPSD support hit the APIv5. There are miscellaneous bug fixes, improvements and language translations.
