This Tuesday, Villefort Software Inc. (Valve Software) introduced a new game-handling engine--source 2. The first generation of the Source Engine, which was released in 2004 with the "Counter-Strike origin", was finally updated by the company in 11 years. The Source 2 processing engine will be open to game developers free of charge. Villefort did not mention when the engine was officially launched, nor did it disclose any games based on the engine.
