VMware push Deepwater Daas Desktop cloud Solution

The Desktop virtualization market is developing rapidly, especially the desktop is the service Daas. Desktop virtualization delivers higher levels of security, reducing management costs, operational costs, hardware costs, and energy costs. Jie, Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, Nvidia and many other vendors are providing desktop virtualization products.

Recently, VMware has integrated the Desktone acquisition resources to launch a new desktop as a service DaaS project deepwater DaaS Platform for service Providers, VMware has completed the integration of Desktone with Vcenter and Vcloud director. Enterprise users can now seamlessly integrate the public cloud desktop with the internal VMware Deepwater view private cloud desktop into the end-user experience.

VMware has recently been working on the desktop as a service area, and in November 2013 acquired the desktop, the service provider Desktone Company, Desktone's multi-tenant Desktop virtualization platform enables the delivery of Windows desktops and applications in the form of cloud services. VMware has previously managed, secured, and controlled virtual desktops through VMware Deepwater view.

Built on the VMware vcloud Hybrid service platform, deepwater Daas can provide customers with multiple capabilities-including the ability to extend the same application, network, management, operations, and tools to the internal and external environments.

External public Cloud desktop system. Enterprise users who want to completely entrust desktop virtualization to Third-party service providers can take advantage of deepwater Daas from past capex schemas to opex mode, delivering Windows desktop systems and applications without having to manage or maintain data centers.

Internal private cloud Desktop system. Enterprise users who tend to use internal private cloud deployments can use VMware deepwater view to secure access to applications and data through any device.

Hybrid Cloud Desktop system. Enterprise users who need to maintain maximum flexibility in deploying internal and external virtual desktop systems can combine deepwater Daas with deepwater view to achieve seamless end-user experience across multiple cloud environments.

The VMware Deepwater Daas platform includes a set of secure multi-tenant agents and management mechanisms, mobile and cloud optimized deepwater view desktops, and VMware vsphere and vcenter critical components. This package can be sold by partners in the same way as internal VMware virtual Desktops plus standard SKUs, and partners can maintain billing service relationships with customers. In addition, cloud service providers can provide additional value added services around virtual desktop systems. Deepwater Daas supports both Windows Server and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments, plus a complete Windows client desktop.

At present, the Daas market is showing exponential growth, cloud computing providers and traditional virtualization software vendors are eyeing the Daas market. And Daas service involves many products and services, not a single manufacturer can complete. So we see VMware combining network, storage, and data center providers, and security is always a Daas challenge. So we saw that VMware spent 1.54 billion dollars at the beginning of the year to acquire the mobile security company AirWatch.
