Wal-Mart, the US retail company, recently announced plans to test a new network-buying locker system in some retail outlets this summer. But it has not been disclosed which areas and how many stores will be introduced into the system.

Wal-Mart previously showcased its new locker system at Silicon Valley headquarters in the United States. Through the system, users can buy goods online and then go to a Wal-Mart store to take the goods out of their lockers.

By simply shipping the goods to a Wal-Mart store, the cost of logistics is reduced, and the delivery time is shortened in comparison to the distribution to the user's home or office.

Wal-Mart currently has 10,700 stores in 27 countries and is the largest retailer in the world.
