Recently, Acer announced the company's senior personnel adjustment plan. Chairman Wang announced that the company's president and CEO Gianfanco Lanch (Gianfrancolanci) will resign, and he will return to the position of President, and the post of CEO (also as Chairman). On the reasons for Lanci's resignation, Acer said in a statement that Lanci's view of the company's future development is different from that of most of its directors, and that it has not been able to reach a consensus after months of communication. They disagree on the importance of business size, growth, customer value creation, brand positioning, resource allocation, and implementation methods. In the opinion of industry experts, the reason for Lanci leaving more is the performance problem. In the past two quarters, Acer's experience has included a fall in revenue, a weakening netbook advantage, missed tablet opportunities, Lenovo's impact and Apple's pressure, but Lanci failed to come up with an effective response, which is the root cause of the class. Not only that, according to Acer's revenue forecasts, the first quarter of this year's PC revenue will fall 10%, the first quarter of the total revenue may also be lower than expected, two quarter revenue will be flat with the same period last year. The lower revenue forecasts have also sparked resentment among investors, and Acer's share price has been flagging. Will the Wang be able to get Acer back to the fast lane again? Wang said the PC remains the core business and Acer will continue to expand its PC business, especially the business PC business, and that Acer's investment will remain "cautious" in the emerging mobile device market, and he is also interested in becoming a leader in the mobile industry. In this regard, the industry analysts believe that, in the current competition has emerged in the white-hot tablet market, Acer's "cautious" attitude is not enough to make it a leading manufacturer. Although Acer's first Tablet PC, Iconia, will be shipped in April, its actions lag behind those of HP, Dell, Lenovo and even Asus, not to mention Apple. In addition, in the Chinese market with the greatest potential for PC and mobile devices, according to the IDC survey, Acer's share of Acer, which includes founder computers, was only 7.8% in the four quarter to 2010, although it ranked second, but it was a far cry from the first Lenovo's 32.2%, and the third Dell's 7.5% , Hewlett-Packard's 7.4% is only a few inches away and may change at any time. Therefore, whether it is the emerging mobile equipment market or the developing China market, the Wang will face many challenges, a long way to go. Nanfang Daily reporter Cheng
