Most people have heard of cloud computing. The operator stores your contacts in the cloud, and the hosting company hosts your site in the cloud, and others keep your photos in the cloud.
But where is the cloud?
The first thing to do is to forget about infrastructure and virtual correlation. If you're still thinking about the need for more IaaS suppliers in the 2013, prove you're not aware of the current IaaS market (Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Rackspace, Joyent, Verizon/terramark, IBM, HP, etc.).
So what are the alternative strategies:
1. Successful SaaS in non-English-speaking countries imitating English-speaking countries
Your best hope may be SaaS and PAAs. The best market is non-English-speaking countries. We have seen an explosion of SaaS growth in the United States, but not in other countries. Only a few large SaaS schemes (Webex, gotometting, Office 365, etc.) and PAAs platforms (Salesforce, workday, etc.) appear in countries outside the United States and UK. However, most SaaS and PAAs solutions still exist only in English-speaking countries. So the quickest way to make money is to copy, translate, and paste successful SaaS products that only appear in English-speaking countries. If you don't know how to fake a cottage, look at how the Rocket Internet team does it. Of course you need to make some innovations and try to build your own SaaS.
2. Provide solutions for other SaaS Nuggets
In this gold tide, you can be a "restaurant", "Hotel" or "tool shop". When everyone is looking for a cake on SaaS, the Nuggets are given a solution that saves time and money. Help others build their own SaaS business instead of repeating millions of pages, online stores, e-mail servers, search, CRM, monthly billing, reports, or BI. Instead of using Shopify to build an online store, you should use your product to build a SaaS business.
3. Move the Cloud
Almost everyone owns or is planning to buy a smartphone, but the mobile service of the cloud that is really exploited so far is very small. For example, the shopping app, where most of it buys, doesn't give me a recommendation when I need to buy a product--based on current promotions or parity with other businesses. There is no app that can help me find a product in a large market. Nor do I recommend lists based on my usual shopping habits. Of course you can get a number in a long queue. Of course, these are just an app example of moving and cloud. Think about the other side and you'll have a good idea.
4. Chasing special in the crowded IaaS market
It has been mentioned above that the IaaS market is already very crowded, but there are always exceptions: special IaaS. You can focus on a specific hardware, such as virtualization GPU, DSP, mobile arm processor, mobile and flat-panel virtualization, embedded device virtualization, machine learning IaaS, and automotive software virtualization.
5. Service of subversive Innovations
Disruptive innovation as a cloud service. Can be: 3D printing services, Wireless sensor network/M2M, wearable Tech, open source hardware. The cloud will bring you low overhead and provide a global, resilient expansion scheme.
