Email is the abbreviation for electronic mail. Email is a commonly used Internet service. Is the use of computer network exchange of electronic media letters. It appears with the advent of computer networks, relying on network communication means to achieve the transmission of ordinary mail.

Email is an important information service on the Internet, providing an extremely fast, easy and economical way for internet users around the world to communicate and exchange information.

Apply for Email

Now a lot of websites offer this service, we now go to apply for one, unfortunately the free is getting less.

First, we login to "NetEase" (www.163.com). Find the "Apply for free Mailbox" button click to enter. First appeared is NetEase's terms of service, click the "I Agree" button. Next, select a username for yourself. User names can consist of letters, numbers, and symbols. Here we assume that you select "CJJL" as the username and enter it in the "Please select Pass user name" text box, and then click OK. Next to fill out the personal data, where the password is more important, its length is best not less than 6 digits. When filling in other items, be aware that items with "*" must be filled in. After the personal data is completed, click the "Submit" button to complete the application.

Now you have an e-mail "cjjl@163.com". The first half of the character "@" is the user name that you choose when you apply for the free mailbox, and the latter part is the address code of the NetEase company.

It is also important to note that when you apply for a free email address, be sure to note another two addresses: the receiving server address and the sending server address. Because Outlook Express is configured in the back?? OE?? Requires two addresses, or you cannot send or receive e-mail. NetEase's two addresses are "pop.163.com" and "smtp.163.com" respectively.

With an email, the next step is to configure OE.

The Internet Connection Wizard appears when you first run OE and then open the Tools menu, select Account, click the Mail tab, click the Add button, and select Mail in the cascading menu (Figure 1).

Here is a "Display name" text box in which you can fill in the real name or use other names you like (the name is only shown to the recipient). After you fill out your name, click the Next button.

In the dialog box that appears, fill in the e-mail address "cjjl@163.com" in the e-mail address text box.

Now you want to set up your e-mail server. As shown in Figure 2, enter NetEase's receiving server address "pop.163.com" and the Sending server address "smtp.163.com" in these two text boxes respectively, click Next button.

Enter account name and password as required. The account name and password are the username and password we chose when we applied for the free mailbox. Fill in the username "CJJL" and password separately. Click the Next button. Finally, click the Finish button to end the configuration work.
