Video games have long ceased to be children's toys, but even today, which has become an important pillar of the entertainment industry, dubbed the "Nineth art" by insiders, consoles may not be seen in many people's eyes. Fortunately, the latest survey shows that the situation is gradually improving. Nielsen, the authoritative research agency, recently released a survey of the use of game consoles in American households. In the past, games consoles were often collected in closets or in inconspicuous places, and only moved out when a game was needed. However, a recent survey by Nielsen shows that in recent years people's understanding of the game is no longer limited to the traditional "game" category. As the bosses of gaming companies such as Microsoft and Sony have been stressing, consoles are becoming an integral part of home entertainment terminals. In many American homes, consoles such as PS3 and X360 are connected to televisions all year round, and are often wired or wireless to update and download entertainment content, according to the survey. According to Nielsen's survey, about 50% of game consoles can occupy a place in the American family's living room, but the status of different hosts is uneven. For example, Nintendo's home to the Wii, often the home in the living room regulars, the ratio of up to 59%. By contrast, only 45% of PS3 and 42% of X360 can have a stable position in the living room. Microsoft's X360, on the other hand, has succeeded in capturing children's homes in American families with the leading advantage of penetration. Nielsen's research shows that around 28% of X360 have long been used in children's bedrooms, while PS3 and Wii account for only 16% and 14%. In addition to the places where we often place games, the survey shows that there are also some game consoles in the most incredible locations, such as toilets, kitchens and basements, for details that can be found in the diagram above.
