Windows 8 Authorized sales have exceeded 200 million faster than win 7

Windows 8 and Windows RT were sold on October 26, 2012. According to the current sales speed, Windows 8 sales are 420,000 licenses per day since the date of release. By contrast, Microsoft sold 240 million Windows 7 licenses in 12 months, while Windows 8 spent 15 months selling 200 million licenses. Although 200 million is a large number, Windows 8 is still not selling as fast as Windows 7.

The slow sales of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 reflect a decline in PC sales over the past two years. Windows 8 is designed to work with both desktop PCs and tablets, but has been resented by many traditional PC users, and surface tablets have not been able to attract a large number of ipad user defections.

What makes Microsoft more anxious is that the number of users who actually use Windows 8 has been very low. Although many companies technically buy Windows 8, there are not many Windows 8 installed on the office PC.

Tami Reller also says the Windows team is pushing the Windows system to adapt to smaller-size devices. Windows 8.1 Update 1 is expected to integrate such upgrades.
