Last November, we released the Windows Azure Content IBuySpy Receptacle (CDN) Community Technology Preview (CTP). Windows Azure CDN Enhances performance and reliability of end users by placing copies of data across different nodes within the network, because it allows the content to be transferred to the user from a location closer to the user. Many Microsoft products have been released today through Windows Azure CDN-for example, Windows Update, Zune videos, and Bing Maps-users are familiar with these products and are used every day. By adding CDN functionality to Windows Azure, we've made it possible for all of our Windows Azure users to use this large network.

So far, the service has not been paid for. Now we are announcing the pricing rules for Windows Azure CDN: The use of CDN will be charged after June 30, 2010. :

Europe and North America transmit data, each GB $0.15 the rest of the United States dollar, per gigabyte $0.20 USD per 10,000 transactions $0.01 USD

Windows Azure CDN is a global solution for delivering high-bandwidth content in 19 locations worldwide (USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America). Windows Azure CDN Caches your Windows Azure blobs in one of the best locations, providing the maximum bandwidth to transfer your content to your users. You can open CDN Transport for any one of your storage accounts through the Windows Azure Developer Portal.

The cost of Windows Azure CDN does not include the costs associated with transferring data from Windows Azure Storage to CDN. Any data transfer and storage transactions that transfer the information from Windows Azure storage to the CDN will be charged separately according to the regular Windows Azure storage charges. The CDN charges only the data requests it receives and the data that is transmitted outward to satisfy these requests.

Any use before July 1, 2010 will not be charged. Please visit here to subscribe to the premium package that best meets your needs.
