What is the "scale" of the specified virtual machine?
We can specify the size of the virtual machine on which the role will be deployed. The "size" of a virtual machine means:
1,CPU Core Number
2, Memory capacity
3, the volume of the local file system
We can specify the size of the virtual machine for specific roles.
There are two ways to specify the size of a virtual machine:
1, specify the "size" of the virtual machine through the service definition file.
2, if you use Visual Studio, you can specify the size of the virtual machine by using the Properties tab of the role.
Specifying the size of a virtual machine through a service definition file
Open the Servicedefinition.csdef file and select a size from the options provided by the Drop-down list.
Specify the size of the virtual machine by using the property label
Right-click on the Web role and choose Properties.
Then, select the "Revisit" tab and select a virtual machine "scale" from that Drop-down list. In this way, you can also specify the "size" of the virtual machine, which, in effect, is no different from the first approach.
There are 5 types of virtual machine "size" to choose from. The following table gives details of the size of each virtual machine.
