Following the launch of Windows Http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13357.html ">azure hdinsight last October, we announced that Windows Azure Hdinsight now supports using a preview version of Hadoop 2.2 clustering.
Windows Azure Hdinsight is a completely Apache-Hadoop-based solution deployed by Microsoft in Windows Azure. Hadoop is a distributed storage and processing platform that can analyze a large number of relational and non relational data. Hdinsight, azure customers can take advantage of data in Windows Azure BLOB storage or compute node-local native HDFS file systems. You can then dynamically configure the Hadoop cluster to process your data and use Windows Azure for flexible scaling. Read the CIO magazine Spotlight, which focuses on how some customers use Hdinsight to process large amounts of data and integrate new data types into the analysis.
The new version of Windows Azure Hdinsight has the following new features: Dramatically improved query response speed (up to 40 times times), data compression (up to 80%) to meet low storage requirements and take advantage of the YARN (upgrade to the future Hadoop data operating system). Windows Azure Hdinsight also applies to all of the world's Windows Azure data center locations except China (North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia).
