Windows Azure Upgrade method for Microsoft Cloud computing System

Microsoft's Cloud Computing Services Windows Azure platform is still available to users free of charge, but since February 1 Windows Azure Platform services have officially started charging for consumption. Microsoft is nearing the end of its pay-system tests and preparations, in which Windows Azure users can now choose when to accept operating system upgrades and choose which operating system version to use.

In Windows Azure's service profile, users can specify the version of the guest operating system running on a Windows Azure virtual machine, and control the upgrade of services on virtual machines and hosts. If you do not configure this in the service profile, Windows Azure runs the default version.

By accessing the Windows Azure Developer port, users can determine which version of the operating system is running in the Windows Azure service. The specific method is to access the service's overview page, click the "Configuration" button, you can browse the service profile text document. The "OSVersion" property shown in "Serviceconfiguration" is the version of the operating system that the current Windows Azure service is running.

Windows Azure Guest OS 1.0 is currently available for the system, which Microsoft completed on December 1, 2009 and released on December 7. Since Microsoft only publishes this version at the moment, when viewing "OSVersion", its value will be either default or show "wa-guest-os-1.0_200912-01".
