Microsoft's personal assistant for Windows Phone development, Cortana, will launch in China and the UK in a few weeks.

Marcus Ash, the Microsoft Cortana product owner, said in a Twitter talk with people on the Internet:

Cortana will soon be launched in the UK and China. Time is a few weeks rather than a few months.

In the conversation, Ash explained why Microsoft had to focus on developing Cortana's Windows Phone version, regardless of the iOS version and the Android version. The reason is that Cortana is still in beta, and is only in the United States. Microsoft believes it is imperative to expand the use of Cortana before considering other versions of development.

Cortana is a mobile personal assistant product that Microsoft has launched against Apple Siri and Google Now. Can retrieve the user's phone address book, mail, calendar and many other content, and can accept voice commands to carry out telephone, SMS, set schedule, query Web pages, open applications and many other functions. Cortana also has machine learning function, can be used in the gradual understanding of user habits, familiar with the user's main contact and browsing the Web page, the importance of ordering, thus becoming more personalized voice assistant.

Microsoft has previously launched Cortana for U.S. users in the Windows Phone 8.1 update.
