One, my menu you don't use

Many readers use a single computer to distinguish them from each other by using their own accounts to log on to the computer. Because of the need for different, all the procedures installed by everyone is also different, so many times we do not want to install the program for others to use, only allow themselves to use.

There are a number of ways to achieve this goal. One of the most common uses is to use NTFS permissions. For this purpose, you must ensure that the partition in which the installer resides is in NTFS format. Then right-click the folder where the program is located, open its Properties window, switch to the Security tab, delete all the contents of the group or user name, and then click the Add button to add your account, and then under the permission "Allow column, select Full Control (Figure 1).

Tip: If it's not an NTFS partition, you can convert it through the Convert drive letter/fs:ntfs command, and if there is no Security tab in the Properties window, you need to open the Folder Options window and in the View tab, use Simple File sharing Option Cancel (Quick know: How to set the contents of the Start menu).

In addition, we can use Group Policy to complete, the operation is simpler. In Run, enter "Gpedit.msc", select "User Configuration-Administrative Templates-Taskbar and Start Menu" on the left side of the open window, and double-click "Remove Utility Group from Start menu" on the right to set it to Enabled. The program installed later will only be logged on in the current account to be accessed in the Start menu, and other user logins will be automatically hidden.

Second, quickly find new programs

As the installation of the program increases, the Start menu more and more content, and the new installation of the program is generally required to use, to open it needs to find a long time to do. In fact, we can make the new installation of the program first, so as to facilitate our search.

Right-click in the blank of the Start menu to open the Properties window. Switch to the Start Menu tab, select the Start menu option, click the Customize button, switch the open window to the Advanced tab, select the Highlight newly installed program option, and click OK to save the settings (Figure 2). The newly installed program will be highlighted for ease of use.
